Spencer Zimmerman is a screenwriter and director, known for his short films Der Jude, Emily, and the feature film The Tipping Point. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Spencer spent the formative years of his life in the prairies of western Canada before moving to Vancouver to pursue studies in filmmaking at Capilano University’s prestigious school of Motion Picture Arts.
His previous films, Der Jude and Emily, have both screened at international film festivals, garnering awards for both narrative, performance, and technical achievement. He has been nominated for BC's Film and Television Awards for Best Student production two years back to back in 2018 and 2019.
