What happens if a man inadvertently offend a woman.
The theme of love and relationships is eternal as the world. Many authors wrote on this topic, but I liked the short story "Idealist's Recollections" written by Anton Chekhov in 1885. More than 100 years have passed but this story is still relevant. The main mystery for me was why she wrote him a bill for everything. The generally accepted opinion is that she simply breeded a man for money. This can be allowed if we are talking about a woman of easy virtue. But I wanted to dig deeper and began to ask women I know. And I liked one answer: "She wanted to continue the relationship and He wanted to pay off so she was offended". This is exactly the story you see in the film DACHNIKI.
There are a lot of movies these days that pervert of classic literature. I set myself the following tasks: to make a modern film with respect to the author, on a classic plot, to immerse the characters and the viewer in an atmosphere as close as possible to the end of the XIX century.
To solve these tasks, I: choose a suitable location, excluded modern gadgets, dressed the heroine in a skirt and dress, turned off the light, lit the fire and voila!
It worked out for me! And what do you think?
