Cycle Trails 046 - Javorníky Mountains 3 (SK) (Rough ridge tour from Makov to Čadca)

Javorníky Ridge is 80 km long and runs at a height of 1,000 metres from Wallachia to Kysucko. Already the Moravian part, which we passed a few years ago, is quite challenging. But what awaits us in Slovakia on the way from Makov to Čadca, we really did not expect. With its elevation and difficult terrain, it is undoubtedly the most difficult route we have ridden so far. But the beautiful views of Lysá hora and Malá Fatra are definitely worth it!

Director Biography - Marek Tichý

Graduate of camera and directing of documentary films on Prague film school FAMU (1998).
Since 1994 camera assistant on commercials, feature films, cameraman, DOP and lately director of documentary and short films, commercials and music broadcasts.
Article publishing in Foto a Video, Pixel, DOP of feature films Cabriolet (2001) and Po hlavě do... (2005) .
DoP and director of short films in Czech Republic. Former DoP of series Ordinace v růžové zahradě (Surgery in Rose Garden) and Doktoři z Počátků (Doctors from Počátky) of TV Nova and director of news for children Zprávičky (Little News) on Czech TV D channel.
Now DoP and director of Toulavá kamera (wandering camera) Gejzír (Geyyser) and 13. komnata (13th Chamber) on Czech TV, producer of educational films and author and producer of project Cycle Trails (for MTB).

Director Statement

When I thought about what I love to do most, I came to the conclusion that I love my job - making films and I love my family at the same time. And I also love to spend my free time in nature, especially in the mountains and forests, and most of all I love to cycle. In order not to have to divide my time between work and family, I created the Cycle Trails (for MTB) project. Thanks to this I shoot and spend time with my family at the same time. Moreover, I show not only my children, but especially the audience the beauty of the Czech Republic - the most beautiful country in the world. A country promised to mountain bikers and hikers.
