GABRIEL drifts into his fantasy world of self grandeur whilst the premier of his partner JODI’s adult movie plays out in the confines of their ‘studio’ apartment. When it become apparent Gabriel hasn’t been paying attention to the finery of Jodi’s performance, the pair fight over his defeatist, infantile attitude, as well as his crippling impotence.

Later, Gabriel examines a curious package dropped through his door that alludes to something called ‘THE COPING MECHANISM’. Playing back a tape included, it is apparent his degeneracy has been illicitly observed…

Gabriel tries to dismiss this sinister interloper, but cannot help but be seduced by his promise to rid him of the numbing pain he endures. However, this involves the literal dissolution of his physical shell. As he dissolves, the exquisite pain transcends into a euphoria, achieving his ultimate desire. Finally, a beaten and violated Jodi finds his liquified remains, and decides to join with him, and the pair merge together.
