Cultura Groovy hosts intimate, high-quality short-film festivals in the heart of Barcelona, where each event offers a unique cinematic experience. Our festivals are designed to showcase the creative work of talented filmmakers, with each director presenting their film in person.

Each edition of our festival explores different themes, genres, and forms of storytelling, transforming 303 Audiophile Bar into a cinephile bar for a night. For this edition, "Ladies in Control" we are accepting exclusively films directed by women. (Important to note that we are not exclusively searching for films related to female topics, but simply just told by women story tellers)

We want to empower, support and inspire women in the industry, who suffer greatly from prejudice, harassment and neglect. Female filmmakers, your stories matter.

Ladies, we invite you to submit your work and join us in person. Come be part of a growing creative community, showcase your film, and network with other creatives.

We are accepting: Animated, narrative short films with a runtime between 3 - 20 minutes

- Directors must be able to attend the event on time and in person in order to present themselves to the audience before their screening

- All films must include responses to the following: Synopsis (in English and Spanish), 3 high resolution stills from the film, full cast and credits list, and an official film poster

- Audio: STEREO MIX
- Subtitles: REQUIRED, must be in English if the film is produced in Spanish, must be Spanish if the film is produced in English

- Copyrights & Permissions: By submitting a film for consideration, the director confirms they hold the rights to all content, including music, and have obtained permission from all parties involved

- Each director is allocated six reserved seats for invitees (crew, talent, or supporters). No additional guests will be permitted beyond this list due to venue capacity limits.

- All directors will be asked to participate in the post-screening interview and will be uploaded to social media. This is a vital part of the festival experience, promoting interaction with the audience and fellow filmmakers. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory.

- By submitting my film for consideration, I grant permission to use any 3 minute section of my film and related materials for promotion in social media and posters
