When Karla, a student who's used to things happening easily for her, arrives to the classroom and the only seat left is next to Diana, a completely different girl who tends to isolate herself, she starts to develop an unprecedented friendship with her, in which they start to grow together and positively change according to the development of their friendship and an ongoing promise of getting to graduation together.

This is how their relationship starts to become more united and intimate, but in an ephemeral moment their friendship is altered forever.

When Diana stops shining and Karla can't understand, what happens to said promise?

Director Biography - Ari Santiago Álvarez

Ari Álvarez, un joven estudiante de 19 años originario de La Paz, Baja California Sur, actualmente residente de la Ciudad de Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, director, músico y cantante. Realiza su primer corto “Cuando Te Entendí” después de entrar a un curso de cine universitario, desempeñándose como director y editor. Al ganar el concurso interno del curso de cine, se presenta la oportunidad de volver a grabarlo, con mayor presupuesto, producción y más herramientas. Junto con Rojo Club, integrado por Dariana, Angel, Mariano y Diana, presenta la remasterización de este corto.

Horas de esfuerzo, dedicación, creatividad y un trozo de corazón y desafío están puestos en este corto. Aprendizajes y experiencias, anécdotas y enojos. Todo eso es "Cuando Te Entendí". Un cortometraje hecho por un grupo de estudiantes que querían aprender de cine, pero terminaron aprendiendo de la vida.
