Crying is not allowed

Orthodox Easter is one of the most important holidays in Georgia. On the second day of Easter, Georgians honour their deceased relatives by visiting their graves and bringing food and wine to the cemetery. They usually feast on graves or in some cases give food and wine to charity. What is left on the graves after the Easter holidays? Crying Is Not Allowed is a short documentary film that examines the Kukia Cemetery in Tbilisi, Georgia. Custom-made, original tombstones give the visitor the feeling that they are on exhibition. As we navigate through these unique tombs, we learn more about Georgian Easter traditions.
