Director Biography - Naghi Nemati

Born in 1977 in Ardebil, Naghi Nemati is a graduate of “Film Directing” from Soureh College of Isafahan in 2004. He started making short films since 1993 and his first short film, Like The Umbrella of the Kids received several awards in national festivals. He made his second short film, The Lost Homework in 1999 and his next film, The Children’s Songs (2000), brought him several prizes like Isfahan International Children Film Festival’s Best Short Film Award. Naghi Nemati’s next two short films, Free Line (2005) and With Him (2006) were shown in many national international film festivals and collected more than 10 awards at festivals in Poland, Austria, Iran,…; he’s been involved in different positions in Iranian film industry as scriptwriter, editor, actor and photography and his first feature film, Those Three (2007), premiered and awarded at Locarno and then shown at more than 50 festivals, took him 2 years to make in a remote snowy region. Three And A Half (2011) is his second feature film, shown in Busan, Warsaw, Turin,… festivals.
