The Crossing Over Express

Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason are long time friends and writing partners making their directorial debut with THE CROSSING OVER EXPRESS. As writers, Appian Way recently acquired their social thriller YOU AND IMPROVED for Leonardo DiCaprio and Jen Davisson to produce, and THE SOCIAL NETWORK producer, Dana Brunetti, boarded their character-driven action thriller EPILOGUE. Barnett & Thomason's second feature collaboration, the Christian film industry satire FAITH BASED, co-starred Jason Alexander, Lance Reddick, and Margaret Cho. Faith Based was adored by critics and fans alike, reaching 94% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Their debut feature, FEAR INC, a horror-comedy written by Barnett starring Abigail Breslin, premiered at Tribeca before hitting #1 on iTunes. Barnett's political satire, THE RIGHT ANGLE WITH JULES FORRESTER, was a semi-finalist in the Academy’s prestigious Nicholl Fellowship for Screenwriting, making Top 50 out of over 7,000 selects.

As producers, other credits include YOUR LUCKY DAY (starring Euphoria’s Angus Cloud and premiering at Fantastic Fest 2023), LOITERING WITH INTENT (Sam Rockwell, Marisa Tomei, Tribeca) and DARKNESS FALLS (Gary Cole, Shawn Ashmore, FrightFest). The duo cut their teeth making short form comedy videos at Will Ferrell's Funny or Die.

As an actor, Barnett will appear next recurring on the upcoming season of Apple’s critically acclaimed sci-fi drama FOR ALL MANKIND.

Most importantly, the duo competed (some might even say dominated) on Netflix's smash hit game show, THE FLOOR IS LAVA.
