Cross The Road
Due to the transportation and traffic problems in Turkey, every day, tens of people die, hundreds of people get injured or become permanently disabled.
In the environment where the transportation itself and its’ language are man and relationships are masculine, three women emerge who think that they can change something.
Idil Isik, Kevser Ustundag and Yesim Ayoz who find themself in the traffic and transportation problems since 90s. While Idil Isik looks at the traffic safety problems and transportation system in Turkey from the traffic psychology perspective, Kevser Ustundag considers the issue as a City Planner and Yesim Ayoz who lost her brother in a traffic accident makes effort as an advocate of the traffic victims rights.
These women laid the foundations of new platforms and they utter their ideas which focus human and society in the radio program of ‘Tragic to Human Traffic’ first and then on the streets with the slogan of ‘The street is ours’. These women who fight for pedestrian and victim rights, bicycle lane and alternative transportation systems aim to stop deaths are caused by transportation and its’ problems...
