Welcome to the 2025 Creative Climate Awards (CCA), an annual celebration of the power of art to envision and inspire bold climate action. This year, our theme, Inspiring Futures, invites artists from around the world to imagine and showcase possible futures where humanity overcomes the challenges of climate change and builds a sustainable, just, and vibrant world.

Through a month-long series of public exhibits, performances, community conversations, and a film festival, the 2025 CCAs will bring to life hopeful and solutions-oriented art in diverse spaces across New York City. We believe in the transformative potential of arts and culture to educate, engage, and empower communities to take action on climate issues.

Use your creativity to ignite positive change and help shift the climate narrative toward a brighter, more sustainable future.

TIMELINE:

Submissions Due: 11:30 PM EST (GMT -5), February 10th, 2025

Selections Announced: mid-February, 2025.

Exhibit and performances: mid-April to mid-May, 2025

NOTE:
If selected, artists are responsible for the costs of shipping works to and from NYC.
Performers must be able to perform in NYC between mid-April to mid-May

WHAT YOU GET:

-Opportunity to compete for US$2000 in jury awards and an audience choice award

We invite artists from around the globe—whether emerging or established, local or international—to apply! If your work envisions bold, INSPIRING FUTURES in the face of climate change, we encourage you to submit.

PROMPT:
In what ways does your work envision "Inspiring Futures" where we successfully address climate change?

WHAT WE ACCEPT:
We welcome submissions of all 2D works, films (shorts and features), 3D works (sculptures and installations), as well as performances (dance, theater, music, etc.). Only completed pieces will be considered. Please do not submit concept notes or requests for commissions. We strongly encourage artists from underrepresented communities and those most impacted by climate change to apply.
