Oliver Johnson is an LA-based writer-director and production designer who began his professional education as an invited guest on the set of Breaking Bad (seasons 4 & 5). Oliver quickly found a career for himself in art department: First working as a Set Dresser on projects for Nike, Target, Super Deluxe, Buzzfeed, and music videos for artists such as Green Day and Iggy Azalea; And more recently as Production Designer for independent feature films including Houston Worldfest’s 2019 Best Picture winner, “Evergreen”, and Tribeca 2020 Official Selection from Joshua Leonard, “Fully Realized Humans”.
"Coyote" is a horror short about a troubled man’s irresponsible attempt to justify his violent nature, and is Oliver’s first film since starting his professional career.
With “Coyote” I wanted to explore the horrific feeling of knowing our mistakes but being unable to break our nature. It is a story of a character that expresses regret for his destructive actions, but looks you in the eyes as does them again.
