Director Statement

Photography has always been a passion of mine. Through this passion I discovered that I could bring my love of animals to new levels and reach wider audiences. With this goal in mind, I started The Sentient Project. By capturing animals in a way many people may not necessarily see them, I hope they will reconsider some of the choices they make. Our daily decisions have massive effects on animals whether immediately recognized or not, and I use photography to encourage better choices that will serve animals when we value all animals as sentient. All animals deserve our stewardship and protection, and it’s my hope that we will all recognize this someday soon. Cows Come Home will be my first short. I've recognized the power of film in addition to my photography, and I hope to continue expressing the sentience of all animals through as many formats as I'm able to.
