Covid Choreographed

Dance for Sustainability?

This piece explores division, borders and movement at a time of enforced confinement during various stages of lockdown during the Covid 19 pandemic.
Movement is a fundamental aspect of sustainability with social dislocation in the Environmental crisis. As part of an MA in Sustainable Design at the University of Brighton, the film is a creative conversation that interrogates our ability to maintain connections and integrate seemingly disjointed principles, practices, people?

Can we use dance as a language to explore creative collaboration and dialogue while not excluding plural individual expressions of identity? The film is also a record of the duress most of the dance profession has had to endure.

The artist enrolled in an MA in Sustainable Design in 2019 which she will complete in September. This is the second film she undertakes to address Sustainability issues and complexity in systems thinking.
