Cough Syrup
A man who is known to be a problem solver in the outside world finds himself in a predicament when he starts failing to maintain his relations at home with his wife as well as with his mother.
The protagonist is a successful businessman. He spends a lot of time on social media and on phone advising friends and colleagues on the matter of importance of human relationships. He also teaches them a formula to become popular on social media.
But obvious, he has less time to give to his wife and his mother. Whenever there arises this question at home, he argues in the manner that shows he wants to shun his responsibility. He seems fed-up that he does not have any quality time for himself because of this bickering at home often.
Is this the whole truth? In fact, it’s a tale of complexity of human relationship and its typical pattern of thinking keeping himself or herself in the center of everything. In modern time, machines and devices aggravating this trait. It’s changing the very basic fabric of the society and as an individual, we are giving more importance to the virtual world of shadows and fake realities than a real world of flesh and blood.

I am based in Mumbai city of Maharashtra province in India. I have completed my education in Humanities at Delhi University, Delhi, India. To become a film director is my final goal in film industry.
I have been involved actively in theatre to be a playwright and actor.

I am the writer and the director of this film.
This film is about a man who ignores his personal relations with his wife and his mother because of his zombie-type engagement in virtual world of social media.
I have met people who were and are very philosophical about the value of human relationship on social media and in general conversation, but in real life they are actually zero on this front. As a filmmaker, I am always attracted to stories that lend themselves to a psychological exploration of the human relations and its pattern of thinking at different span of time. While watching this film, I want the viewer to realize what actually matters in the life, at the end of the day.
I have used ‘Black Magic 6’ to shoot this film. Though there have been budget constraints, I did not compromise and went for best in every department as per my capacity and capability.
Style of shooting, color-correction and background score all had been planned in the way that brings more impact and meaning to the idea and objective behind the making of this film.
The experience working on this film will help me for sure with future full-length projects because in every department from casting to camera, from editing to dubbing, from color-correction to background music, I gathered first-hand understanding of practical problems which arise during shoot and post-production, and how to have their solutions as well.
Creating this film helped me to decipher human ethos more precisely.
