Director Biography - Luana Arah, juciara aio

screenwriter, actress, performer, storyteller and researcher. Master in Ethnic-racial Relations (Cefet-RJ) and specialist in Performing Arts (Unesa), graduated in Popular Singing (Vila-Lobos Music School) and Dance (Jaime Arouxa School, GIM, Cia. CorpAfro). Training in Cinema, with an emphasis on Screenwriting and Adaptation, goes through the Centro Afrocarioca de Cinema Zózimo Bulbul Training Centers, Citizenship Action Training Center, Creative Film School, CAN, Dramaturgy Center CUFA, B@arco, AIC, Iecine RS .
In the audiovisual field, he defends Pretagonism, signs the script for the short films Nave Mãe (2018) and Encruza (2019) and directs the short film CoroAção (2019). He was a screenwriter for the Project and Documentary MPB - Música Preta Brasileira (2017) and a finalist screenwriter at the Encontro de Cinema Negro (2018). He acted in the feature films Pacified (director Paxon Winters), M8 when death helps life (director Jeferson De), Estado de Exception (director Juan Pousada); in the series Revolta dos Malês (dir. Jeferson De); starred in the short films Reza (dir. João Niela) and Estase (dir. Gabriel Santos); in addition to campaigns in the advertising market, institutional films and webseries. Currently, he stars in the feature Protection (director Alberto Sena)
His experience includes authorial performance, acting in dramatized readings; productions and shows developed in Companies, Collectives and Artistic Residencies, in addition to the Martins Pena and Tablado School. Writer in the book Bezerra da Silva- 90 anos de malandragem (FUNARTE). Member of Coletivo Ayó – Black Meeting of Oral Tradition. She is the founder and director of Arawè.
