Director Biography - Morgan May Lindberg Stevens

My name is Morgan May Lindberg Stevens. I am a pre-degree student studying Film, animation and media production at Arts University Plymouth. I want to be a director or screenwriter in the future, as watching and making films is my biggest passion. I love making a film that people can be inspired by or feel deep emotions from. Some of my favourite directors are Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, The Coen Brothers and David Fincher. These film directors drive me to keep working on projects so that maybe I can make films like theirs someday. I also am very interested in animation, particularly stop motion. It is a beautiful way to tell a story, and it feels unique.

Director Statement

My vision for Cornerstone was to honour one of my favourite directors Wes Anderson. I wanted to try and see if I could achieve his style with little budget and using just my college's resources. It was to be used as my final project for my first year, and after some encouragement from teachers, I decided to submit it to festivals.
