Contemplating Vacuities

Contemplating Vacuities" is a series that talks about the emptiness but above all about Gibara, it refers to the current state of the town, of an extreme emptiness, an emptiness that only disappears in August but remains the rest of the year. Despite this, the peace that follows perennial is so immense that Gibara becomes almost a contemplative fallen empire, where people are dominated by the immensity of the place despite being a small town and where everything is linked to the sea.For many the town is a fallen empire to look at within itself and within the city through the sea, where contemplation plays with the elements of emptiness. I take advantage of the greatness of the landscaping of the coastal town to capture emptiness and from the point of view of a spectator who contemplates others contemplating me I help from the distance to reduce the figure of the subject and that is dwarfed before all the immense of the sea, the sky and the environment that surrounds it, leaning on the empty spaces and the elements that make up the frame to propose that diminutiveness and insignificance of being first of all a pleasing world that expands before him, a mere David before a Goliath, also as a proposal for a philosophical debate between Gibara, its people and the void that has taken over it.
