Director Statement

Since mass print media became popular, advertising has established a commercial empire that has evolved into a multi-billion industry. It has also served as a historical archive of social contexts. "Consumed" explores the relationships that mixed and new media has had throughout the 20th and 21st century on the perception of feminity, and how patriarchy and capitalism have come to influence it.
