I’m Neil Irwin. I’m an outdoor and adventure photographer and film maker based in the UK. I specialise in capturing interesting, compelling and adventurous stories that showcase the people involved.
To accompany some of my images, I am also a published writer, with articles featured in places such as Men’s Health, Sidetracked Magazine and Adventure Travel Magazine to name but a few.
My passion for the outdoors has derived from the feeling that nature can help with many different problems. Nothing feels better than being in the outdoors. There is something about being outside, exploring new places and the feeling of adventure that I thoroughly enjoy, and hope to motivate others through my story telling.
This film was born out of knowing my friend Emma and her mum Marie, both enjoy kayaking together. I thought that their relationship could be and interesting story to tell not only because they are mother and daughter, but also because of their shared interest in kayaking and the great outdoors.
I hope that by submitting this to film festivals, it can help stir up some memories of good times for some and even bring up notions to kindle up new or forgotten connections for others.
