My name is Achinoam Nachum. I’m married to Uriel, mother of five, and a high school cinema teacher. After directing documentary films, I started dreaming about producing a feature film. As part of my cinema graduate studies at Sapir College, my dream come true. I wrote a screenplay based on my own personal experience during the Disengagement from Gush Katif (Gaza strip) and I created the movie I had dreamed.
In the summer of 2005, I felt deeply torn between connection and disengagement. Between my desire to be connected to Gush Katif and my family, who was staying at my brother’s home in Kfar Darom until the very end, and my need to build my own personal home after four years of living abroad. At the same time that the homes and places that I loved so much were being destroyed, we moved into our new home
