Director Biography - Brenda Saucedo

Brenda Saucedo grew up in Ontario California. She is the oldest of four. When Brenda was six she knew she wanted to work in the entertainment industry. Her career started off in acting where she did a few commercials, short films and indie films. When she was accepted into Cal State Fullerton she decided to major in Film & TV arts. There she found the lack of latinx stories and directors. She found her passion for writing and directing. In spring of 2016 Brenda became the first in her family to graduate college. Brenda continued to pursue filmmaking after college. Her first short documentary film, Future History Makers, won at the Hall of Fame Film Festival. Her next film Between Two Lands has won 2 audience awards. In October 2017 she landed a Mitu Director Fellowship, where she was flown to Mexico to film a documentary, called Desheco En Mexico. May 2018 she filmed her first comedy short film, The Application, and recently got accepted to this year’s Golden State Film Festival where it will screen at the Chinese Theatre March 2019.
Aside from filmmaking, Brenda has had the honor of working for prestigious companies such as: Telemundo, Univision, Ogilvy and currently NBC Entertainment. Brenda has found a passion for telling stories of people who feel don’t have a voice.
In January of 2018 she started her film company named Be Contagious. She releases one video a month of someone making a difference in their community. Brenda enjoys traveling so she brings her camera and pen everywhere she goes to make sure to be ready to captures those untold stories.
