Director Biography - Darius L. Galden

Based in Los Angeles, yet born and raised in Ohio, Darius L. Galden is a Canadian/American director and actor who from an early age was exposed to many aspects of production. Even though he had no formal film school training, by the age of 15 he was editing commercials that aired nationally and at CES. While still in his teens, he was given the opportunity to direct local commercials, instructional videos, a music video, and a pilot for a children’s program.

Subsequently, Darius spent several years working in a variety of visual media including graphic design and animation. That is, until he began to feel the camera calling to him again. Darius now divides his time between directing, editing, writing and even the occasional acting gig.

Currently Darius is in pre-production on a web series, writing multiple short film scripts, and hoping to turn his hand to a feature project in the near future.

Director Statement

My sister brought me the script. I read it and thought it was a good script with a complete story. I had been looking for a reason to get back behind the camera and I felt this would be something I'd like to tackle as my first project.
