Director Biography - JAS MATTA

A child born to a single parent in West Hollywood, Ca., Jas grew up exposed to a diversity of cultures. She played USTA competition tennis and watched a ton of old movies with her mother in the AFI MFA Film program. A student of cinema from an early age she loves to talk "story and imagery." In addition to filmmaking and editing, Jas writes poetry & music, and protests for Black Lives Matter and the Women's March. A recent Marlborough High School graduate, Jas is taking a gap year to explore all of her creative endeavors. Singing Carpool Karaoke on the way to Venice Beach continues to be her favorite pastime.
