Actor, scriptwriter and filmmaker. He was born on 10 January of 1994, in Casilda, province of Santa Fe, Argentina.
In 2015, he entered into the Escuela Provincial de Teatro y Títeres de Rosario, and started the acting career.
As an actor, he participated in theatre plays like “A midsummer’s night dream” of William Shakespeare, “Broma Pesada” of Alejandro Ocón, among others presentations.
He started his career in cinema with “Laberinto”, an experimental short film directed by Lalo Poblete. In that movie, Blas worked as scriptwriter and actor. Then, he started to cooperate with “Dislexia Productions”, an indie production Company from Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. Working with them, Zanella was scriptwriter and actor in “La Melodía Carcajeante”, an horror short film which moves closer to the aesthetics of Darío Argento.
At the end of 2017, Blas Zanella started “Karma”, a short film of drama-suspense genre, which was co-produced by “Dislexia Productions”. “Karma” is his first own audiovisual production, being director, scriptwriter and actor.
In 2018 he gets two prizes for the best script and direction in Los Premios Latino de Marbella for the short film Karma.
His last short film is called Coloquio, changing to a different style from the previous film. Fulfilling the roles of producer, scriptwriter and director.
He is currently in pre-production phase in two projects (feature film and web series) and in the career of theater director in the Rosario city, Argentina.
Colloquium has a development for the public, is based on the metaphor and the symbolic, taking the child and human rights as a narrative thread to reflect current issues of society as helplessness. Maxi Poblete (12 years old) the Chilean child actor, exceeded expectations with an outstanding and professional performance.
Children who attend Pancitas Llenas dining room were included, where they are fed a portion of food and dessert.
