Colby graduated from the digital film program at Utah Tech University in 2022. He directed two films during his senior year there, "Deliberation" and "Barren". His first film "Gizmo" was official selection at Desertscape International Film Festival, Seattle Film Festival, Kanab Film Festival and Food Frenzy, and Central Coast Showcase
