Find a penny pick it up all day long... strange things will start to happen! When Guy accidentally receives a coin in the mail his world gets turned upside down in this Tall-tale of a movie!

"Coined" was entered into the Knoxville-54 Film Fest. For more information on the 54 Film Fest, please visit: 54filmfest.com/rules. Our genre was "Tall-Tale", the line of dialogue "I always knew I'd see you again, I just didn't know when", the action was "spinning", and the prop was a "map". The challenge of the festival is to write, shoot, edit and submit a 7 minute long short film incorporating the above elements in just 54 hours.

Director Biography - Jeremy Lowery, Charles Morgan

Together Chuck and Jeremy started Twin Pines Pictures in March of 2015. In just over a year they created 12 short films! Together they have been making movies for a combined 20+ years! They have used their influences of Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock and others to make unique cinematic adventures that range all genres. They will alternate directing films or team up and co-direct. They also produce, write, DP, and edit all of their films. They are both backed up by a wife and children that support their passion for movie making.

Director Statement

We wanted to make a movie that had elements of a classic action movie, fairy tale, and buddy comedy. With the challenge of having to make an entire 7 minute short film in 54 hours we feel like we were successfully able to merge these genres. We were able to work with new actors, like Tommy Parris, and they embraced their roles and delivered great performances. We hope you enjoy "Coined"!
