Director Biography - Jax Griffin

Jax has been making films since 2008, when she made her debut short Stargazer while living in Los Angeles. Now based in the UK, Jax teaches film production at the University of Bradford and is pursuing a PhD in film from the University of East Anglia.

Director Statement

I wanted to make a film that expressed the loneliness, isolation, and anxiety I felt as a new mother alone with her child for extended periods (my husband was working away for six weeks at a time and we have no family near by). I hope that the chaos and anxiety comes across but I also hope that the love and devotion to my beautiful baby girl comes across too in this hybrid between reality and drama.
