Cinema doesn't have to be what you expect it to be because it's certainly not always what I expect it to be. That's why it's exactly what I want it to be.
My filmmaking journey started when I studied the BA Hons in Film and Television Production at Dundalk Institute of Technology from 2014 - 2018. I directed three short films a music video and a live comedy event which was nominated at the Royal Television Society Student Awards in 2019 during my time there.
I had written a one-hour TV pilot detective drama that caught the attention from production companies and was shortlisted for production 2015. I was 20 years old.
By 2019 I had written two feature screenplays and a plethora of short screenplays one of which garnered two awards at the Queen Palm International Film Festival, best short script and best dialogue.
In October 2020 I undertook a Masters in Screenwriting from IADT, the national film school. I developed my third feature screenplay “The Ossuary” and a TV series “Coke Boys” that caught the attention of some productions companies.
My feature screenplay “The Ossuary” received a distinction and I too received a 1:1 in my masters. After graduating in October I directed a short film “An Irish Goodbye” that is set for the festival run in 2022/3.
