Since forever, Coco has been obsessed with characters, storytelling, events and performance. Coco earned a BA in Acting and Dance from UC Santa Cruz (1997), and an MFA in Acting from Penn State (2000). She lived in Brooklyn, NYC for 10+ years, where she led Future in Plastics, a loud rock band. She moved to Los Angeles in 2012, where she went on to co-create music projects Plastic Ashes and VEYLS. In the late 2010's she began making short films. Coco lives in Los Angeles with her husband and longtime creative partner Culley Johnson, and her daughter Nina.
