Director Statement

ENGLISH
Cock’s Quickie is a film on El Salvador’s gruesome contemporary social reality, a cinematic universe that is both a tribute to Latin American activist and avant-garde cinema from the 70’s; as well as a dystopian, visceral and confrontative portrait of our country. It is a dystopian film but also a documentary evidencing a brutal reality: in El Salvador, a woman is raped every four hours. This project was developed by a small group of artists from film and theater that weave together artistic languages through play and dialogue to generate a collaborative work that brings about critical and inclusive narratives on the subjects it addresses.
