Description of Creation
I was deeply moved by this film, particularly the poignant ending scenes depicting Uncle's memories of the past: his son lying in the hospital, playing the piano with the green scarab beetle by his side, and others. An enduring theme of eternal love resonates throughout these scenes.
Throughout the film, the green scarab beetle character exhibits various cute, rebellious, humorous, and childlike behaviors. We see the power of life that should have belonged to the boy. Instead, he can only live on in the hearts of his parents.
With these thoughts in mind, I changed the lyric after the instrumental section to "Our family is happy forever". Taken literally, this sentence seems very strange: how could it be forever?! But with all of the mysteries in this fantasy film, could it not be possible to come back from the dead and enjoy eternal happiness?
To indulge in my own fantasy, I would like to become the old piano and loudly sound out Uncle's hopes for his life.
As for my change to "pink patience, say scary words, or pitch black", "pink patience" refers to Mad-Li's mind, while "say scary words, or pitch black" echoes the dark feeling of many scenes in the film including Teacher Ko's speech and behavior.

People tend to see strangers as weird, but is it possible that we ourselves are the strange ones? The pandemic has brought many changes to human life since 2020, and the convenience of technology has gradually reduced the need for face-to-face meetings. One result has been a growing sense of distance between people, whether actual or even spiritual. Unfortunately, this situation has given rise to frequent misunderstandings and discrimination. Through this film, I hope to shed light on possible ways for people to better understand, accept, and approach each other.
