I am from the Bay Area and I graduated from De Anza College in 2019 with an AA in Film/Tv Production and an AA in Film/Tv Screenwriting.
The majority of my writing and my ideas stem from music that I am listening to or music that I have heard. In a sense, I want to feel the mood and the atmosphere of the story, before I start making a concept that can work in conjunction with the music. Somewhat making an unofficial soundtrack for what I am going to write. I do this mainly because I want to feel what the character feels through the music I am listening to at the moment.
The genre that my screenplays are based in is Horror/Thriller, something with a reason to the fear and not just slasher or monster based. Growing up as a horror fan, I loved all of the classics but I wanted to focus on the feeling of fear, terror, madness. The things that will drive you into insanity. I think writing/ creating stories like this stems from my fear of losing my mind.
