Clara Kokseby is a creative danish filmmaker - primarily known for her work as a cinematographer, composer and editor. In recent years she has started to explore acting as well, which she really enjoys.
She has always had a passion of creating short films about topics that mattered to her at a specific moment of her life. Themes such as mental health and recovery is very important at this moment - and several short films were actually made, while she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. It was a way of almost writing a journal, just in a visual language - through film and music.
Right now her main focus in the films she is creating, is that you can recover from mental challenges and find hope within yourself - if only you allow yourself to look for it. It all starts with acceptance of yourself, how hard that might be. Breaking down taboos is the center of most of her stories and most of her films - Fiction as well as documentary.
