Civilization: Beta Version

The film takes a satirical look at the idea that the world, which claims to be in its most advanced era of civilization, is merely a facade. In reality, civilization is still in a beta phase, much like an unfinished product that is still under testing. The term "Beta Version" is commonly used in the tech world, especially in this era, to refer to a trial version of software or an application that hasn’t yet reached its final form and is often full of bugs or in need of improvements. By linking this concept with "Civilization in 2024," the film expresses the idea that modern civilization is neither complete nor stable, but rather in a testing phase, inviting viewers to laugh at the current state of affairs.
As a director, I sought to present a truthful and authentic portrayal of the world in 2024, a depiction that future artists and historians, centuries from now, could clearly understand. My aim was to showcase how the era of modern technology intertwined with profound distortions, creating a unique blend that forms a real world, far from the idealized version the world claims to be. Within this blend lie true stories—stories that are neither polished nor complete, but rather, they reflect the reality in all its contradictions and unfinished aspects.
