Films are a beautiful medium of expression. Therefore, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), affiliated to GGSIP university brings to you the First Annual Film Festival : Cinéphile, a platform for all the filmmakers to screen their creations. Your films will be judged by expert filmmakers of the Industry and you can win exciting prizes!

Cinéphile 2014 is from September 18 - 20, 2014 in New Delhi, India. It will host a variety of competitive film events, film making workshops and film screenings across different genres.

The Theme for Cinéphile 2014 is ‘Human Face of Indian Films’

And the sub-themes are:
- Social Problems in Motion Pictures
- Politics
- Religion
- Rural-urban migration
- Family, Law and/or Violence
- Ethnicity, Racism
- Love and Relationships
- Fantasy and/or Surrealism
- Minority rights and issues concerning them
- Gender Reflections
- Human Rights
- Environment

Ace documentary filmmaker R.V. Ramani will conduct a master class on Camera Techniques and Documentary.

For each of the 4 categories:
1st Position --- Rs 7,000
2nd Position --- Rs 5,000
With a certificate and trophy

There is a special jury award among all the films --- Rs 20,000

Participation certificates will be provided to all.

1. All films to be submitted must fit into any of the sub-themes.

2. The last date for the entry is August 20, 2014.

3. Film must be subtitled in English, if language is other than English and Hindi.

4. The film should be produced after January, 2012.

5. Entry fee for each film and for the R.V. Ramani workshop is $8.26 USD.

6. Entry fee should be paid through Demand Draft (DD) or cash. The DD should be drawn in favour of “Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies” (without quotes) payable at New Delhi.

7. Once the film submitted can’t be withdrawn in any circumstances, however festival director reserves the rights to disqualify any film on certain grounds.

8. By submitting the film to the Film Festival, filmmaker/producer takes the whole
responsibility of copyright issues of music, script and other creative and technical aspects of the film.

9. Submission includes: TWO sets of DVD/Blu-ray, entry fee and the registration form.
