Cierra's Slumber
Sierra has her world flipped upside down when she takes a nightmare-inducing cold medication. In her dream, Dr. Hill explains that she had the life of her childhood dreams: a successful career in nursing, and that the life she shares with her son is a fabrication of the mind. She rejects this idea, claiming that her son has helped her become a better person. Now, when she is most vulnerable, the tone of the dream shifts. A clown scares her into waking. At first, she is relieved to have her life back. Then, the clown reappears, once again waking her. This time, Cierra is left terrified, and the audience is left wondering which world is real and which is a fabrication.
