Sunday is an escort struggling with addiction and an abusive past. She is in transition, trying to find self love and create a better life for herself but it is sometimes hard to let go of old patterns and beliefs that are ingrained in our head. Through self awareness and a desire to thrive, somewhat observing her life and the characters in it through a different light, Sunday may be ready for her metamorphisis.

Director Biography - RAchel Michetti

Rachel is an actor/writer/director. After travelling the world, attending acting and musical schools as well as acting workshops, she wrote and directed two plays within her own Production company "Les Simones". She then wrote, produced and acted in a few fashion films, a commercial and two short movies: “Beautiful” and "Candy Lawrence". "Beautiful" was screened in many festivals in Quebec, was sold worldwide and awarded her Best Actress at “Les Rendez-Vous du Cinéma Québécois, a well reputed film festival in Quebec. Chrysalis is a short proof of concept, with its own narrative, inspired by her feature film “The Making of Me” which she is currently editing.

A mentality is a hard thing to change on the collective level. What I am sharing is meant to move you, to impact you and to make you think. You are never so different from anyone else, you just have a different story that ended up with different decision making. Empathy is key to unity and through arts, love can be found.
