Christopher Nunez is a writer and director from New Jersey whose work captures the raw journeys of young adults and outcasts as they navigate the complexities of adulthood and brutal circumstances. His distinctive style delves into themes of personal and sexual frustrations, of disconnected individuals who search for identity and meaning.
As a child, Nunez worked as a performer under the direction of Michael Blevins (A Chorus Line, Chaplin) for six years, later continuing with Nouveaux Talent Management. This early experience on stage and in front of the camera greatly informs his approach as a director, enhancing his ability to create immersive worlds and fluid, authentic characters.
His influences include Sean Baker, Eric Rohmer, Paul Thomas Anderson, Peter Bogdanovich, Richard Linklater, and Bob Fosse.
Nunez will graduate from Seton Hall University’s Digital Cinema program in May 2025, further solidifying his foundation in the art and craft of filmmaking.
