400 AD at the height of tension between the unruly Barbarian Clans and the imperialist Roman empire, Christo, a civilized barbarian, consistently tries and fails to bring Roman-esque decency, decorum, and cleanliness to his dim-witted yet affable brethren. An animated “Curb Your Enthusiasm-like” comedy that deals in purposely low stakes 21st century grievances against the backdrop of a high-stakes ancient world.

Director Statement

This short is an direct expression of what I have always wanted to see in 3D animation. A fun talky character based animated series dealing with everyday problems in a fun setting. This kind of subject matter is often reserved for 2D animation, but we spent a year digging into technology to see if we could make 3D as cheap to produce as 2D and we succeeded well beyond what we expected by using tools that are either overlooked, underappreciated or just brand new!
