Since I was 10 years old I have never stopped loving to perform both on stage and in front of camera. It was the one job/skill I loved to do every single day. At 16, I knew the only subject I wanted to take at college was performing arts, which I did. Fortunately, this course gave me a true insight into what it takes to become a professional actor and from then on I worked year on year starting from free indie fringe shows/short films working my way up to my debut TV role. 'Tyrant,' a Fox TV series.
In the last 6 years, I have been working as a producer/filmmaker for short films and documentaries. In addition to creating my own projects, I have worked alongside production company, Mellow 9 Productions, who took me on as an apprentice back in 2014/15 where I started my training in filmmaking.
The work that I envisage creating throughout my career are storylines that shed light on important subject matters whilst representing unique walks of life that have yet to grace the screens. Ethnic minorities, unique and untold cultural backgrounds and lifestyles, stories about home, community, love, faith, positivity, family and more. Stories we can all relate to. Stories that can provide an influential/educational impact to our audience.
Mad How Life Works is the first short narrative I co-wrote and lead produced under Golden Gate Films. This is also the first year I am applying to the festival circuit both in the UK and internationally.
