Director Biography - Christopher Emmanuel London

Christopher London is a Haitian-Guyanese-American Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Editor, and Actor. Born in Long Island New York, the Filmmaker began his film career at Borough Manhattan Community College. He later graduated from Brooklyn College, majoring in Film Production and minoring in TV and Radio. London’s interest in film began in high school after he decided to go out of his wheelhouse and enroll in video editing. Since then he has gravitated to film and hasn't put his camera down since. His strengths in film are highlighted in his ability to create scenes with objectivity, transitioning from the focal point of one character to the perspective of another. He aims to create nuanced stories through film and challenges viewers to see the side of the story they never considered.

London has gained experience in the TV industry in various roles that include: Video-Playback technician, Post PA, and Production Assistant. His film projects include; Disney/Hulu’s Original Series, ‘Wu-Tang’(2020); STARZ production ‘Run The World’; HBO’s ‘Staircase’ 2021, for NBC’s crime thriller series, ‘Black List’ (2022); CBS supernatural series “EVIL” (2022)

His independent filmography includes producing and directing short films: Producer of ‘DeJa Vu’, awarded best film at the BMCC film festival in 2015, and ‘God is a DJ’, awarded best-produced film at the Brooklyn College film festival in 2020. Director of ‘Hermana’ (2018) and thesis film, 'Late For The Funeral' (2018). His newest independent short film, ‘Christmas in July’ is featured in the 11th annual Chelsea Film Festival (2023).

Outside of film, Christopher worked for the CHDFS (Center for Human Development and Family Services), where he helped develop independent skills to assist children in their young adult lives while establishing positive relationships and encouraging social activities in school. He uses that same experience to connect and direct with his actors, including the two child actors in Christmas in July. London hopes to create content that inspires young African Americans to pursue their dreams and to chase them as relentlessly as he chases his own. And he aims to tell the stories no one has seen or told.
