Christian Meola is a writer and director from Albany, New York, who works in film and live performance. His films range from narrative fiction to experimental video and trash. His recent work focuses on unusual encounters between men, exploring the influence of male interpersonal dynamics on identity, sexuality, and self-expression. His films have premiered at IFC Center, Oak Cliff, Indie Memphis, Sidewalk, Adirondack, Sick 'n' Wrong, Sydney Underground, Electric Forest Music Festival, and on Directors Notes, PBS, NoBudge, and Beyond the Short. In 2020, he won Sick n' Wrong's "You're Special" award.

Christian is also a programmer at Sun Pass Film Festival in Miami and the founder of Midnight Movie Theater, a space dedicated to trash, underground, misunderstood, and rarely-screened films.
