Chris is a native North Carolinian, born and raised in the foothills of the state. It was there he first found his passion for visual storytelling. He attended college in the Blue Ridge mountains at Appalachian State University where his passion grew as he learned the basics of photography, shooting on film, while studying journalism.
After college Chris moved to the coast where his visual storytelling experience continued to grow working in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and learning from local professionals. Then he relocated to central North Carolina to continue his work in the Raleigh/Durham area.
Chris' passion and focus are sharing the stories that affect the people of his home state of North Carolina. His film directorial debut came in 2021 with "Resilience – Food for All", a 100 Strong Production in collaboration with Zoning Media. The film sheds light on food insecurity in the state and shows the work to find a path to food security for all. His follow-up film "The Veteran's Battlefield" focuses on the issues faced by military veterans as they transition from their military service to civilian life.
