Chokablok
Chase Jenkins just wants to succeed. But why does he feel like he's always falling behind?
Part playful, part neurotic, part existential 'CHOKABLOK' is a surreal exploration of our obsession with achievement and the perpetual anxiety of trying to keep up.

I’m an award winning, queer, multidisciplinary artist originally from Canada, currently living in South London. I hold a Masters in theatre directing from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre school and my work spans directing, choreography, movement direction, writing, and filmmaking.
Filmmaking includes: Post-Production (National Theatre School/Art Apart), Chokablok (Flinch Productions), Something Bubbled, Something Blue (National Arts Centre/ Grand Acts of Theatre), We are Change (Musical Stage Co.)
Theatre Making: No Place Like Home (Camden People’s Theatre) Little Mermaid (Theatre Royal Bath- UK Theatre Award 2018), The Addams Family, The Wizard of Oz, Sweet Charity (St. Lawrence College) Previously As Choreographer or Movement Director: Cabaret (Grand Theatre), Sweeney Todd UK/Toronto (Talk is Free Theatre), Spring Awakening (Redgrave Theatre), La Strada (UK Tour), Manhattan Parisienne (The Other Palace with Alain Boublil)
I am passionate about storytelling and constantly intrigued as to how I can evolve my practice, in a response to the fluidity of our political and social landscape. I champion authentic queer narratives on stage and believes the normalization of stories outside the gender binary continue to be crucial in creating equality within the arts community and society at large.
