Director Statement

Chinar is a girl who grew up in a Kazakh pastoral family in Xinjiang. This film takes her growth as its core theme. Through a large number of handheld photography and follow-up shots, and with chronological order as the main line, it truly and naturally shows how Chinar inherits the Kazakh culture through her personal efforts. It reveals Chinar's personal spiritual connotation of adhering to traditions and pursuing ideals in the new era, and shows the indomitable power of women.
