Photographer, documentary maker, musician.
After living for 12 years in Belgium, where I graduated as a clarinet interpreter at the Ghent Conservatory, I decided to return to Chile.
I started climbing in my last year of staying in Europe, this experience reconnected me with Chile, with fire, camping and contact with nature in a much more intense way. I left a trip that ended in the lands of Cochamó, where the recent year 2017 taught a photography and film course to the students of the rural school of the town of Cochamó. Since then I have dedicated much of my work in these southern lands, as a result of that I made my first documentary, El Mono de Cochamó, which was awarded as the Best Film at the Santiago Mountain Film Festival 2016, Best Photography at the Festival of Lo Valdés Mountain Cinema, Best Film at the Noche de Fogón Festival in Argentina and officially selected at the Adventure Film Festival 2016 and the Surmic International Film Festival, Puerto Montt 2015. People and their stories have always been a great source of inspiration for my photographic and audiovisual work. The interaction of man and nature make a perfect communion to tell stories.
On the other hand, the conservation and care of the environment have always been of my interest, contributing with a grain of sand to educational projects, and conservation with my work as a photographer and audiovisual producer. I am a member of the board of the international organization Friends of Cochamó, where we ensure a long-term sustainable development of tourism in the Cochamó Valley. I am also a member of the work team of the Tourism Organization, Owners and Friends of the Cochamó Valley. I participate in the team of the Organization Without Footprint, we seek to prevent and reduce the negative impact generated by sports and outdoor activities in wild areas, with the aim of caring for and respecting nature. This is done through restoration projects of vulnerable places, socio-environmental education and the positioning of this problem in civil society. Finally, I am a founding member of the Wild Lab team, where we develop human skills to learn to live together, in harmony and in communion with our planet. We do it through meaningful experiences in wild areas with the aim of generating affective links with nature.
