Enfant of the sea
Through the protagonist's quest to discern the subtle interplay of moonlight upon her visage, the film encapsulates the deconstructionist symbolism. It poignantly illustrates that individuals are often perceived and dissected based on isolated attributes rather than as holistic beings, a poignant reflection on the complexities of self-perception and interpersonal dynamics. After the disappearance of male protagonist it leaves the female protagonist in a solitude position with new mission finding objectives to observe herself which the journey of finding self essence endlessly repeats it self as the female protagonist foreshadows earlier in the film “a little bit more till we get there ”, he said “ .This leaves audiences a question :Peter Lake: "Even if a person walks for a whole day and arrives before it gets dark, then he is content. The short film "Enfant de lamer" eloquently translates to "Children of the Sea" in English. With a runtime of 4 minutes and 35 seconds, it was shot on a Canon digital camera model G7x.By using a fusion of multimedia elements, the film blends the short filmmaking with the intricacies of photo editing, culminating in a captivating portrayal set against the surreal setting on a cruise ship.
At its core, "Children of the Sea" delves into the relationship of emotional connections, influenced by the philosophical underpinnings of deconstruction and postmodernism. Inspired by the works of Jean-Luc Godard, 1968,particularly "la chinoise " and "charlotte et son Jules " the film ingeniously integrates voiceover narration as a link to its visual structure. This narrative device comes to the fore at the 3-minute and 40-second mark, where the protagonist's description of introspective with the dynamic camera movement , epitomizing a state of chaos, orderliness, stagnant ,regression.
Central to the film's thematic exploration is the concept of self-consciousness, from Hegel.
