Theme:
Imam Hussain (pbuh)

Introduction:
The second Chehelcheragh international festival is focusing on the life of Imam Hussein (pbuh). The reason for this choice is to present the culture of Ashura and the virtues and teachings of Imam Hussain (pbuh) which include a set of concepts, words, goals, and motives, methods of actions and morals that have been embodied in the epic of Karbala. These values and beliefs are clearly recognizable in the words and virtues of Imam Hussein (pbuh), his companions and his family in the course of their lives. Those who pursued the culture of Ashura in their words and deeds are in the best position to teach it. Before subsequent generations of scholars and researchers want to present the culture of Ashura, this culture has clearly been manifested by those who experienced it firsthand. This culture can also be extracted through investigating the events of Ashura as well as in prayers and sermons dedicated to it. The uprising of Imam Hossein (pbuh) taught the world to resist and confront tyranny and injustice.

Subjects and theme:
The message of Ashura was the basis for the ideological and intellectual disciplines of Imam Hussain (pbuh), the martyrs of Karbala and the captives from the Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh), which caused the epic of Ashura and the revolution of Imam Hussain (pbuh) to remain alive for so long. Hence, the festival secretariat, among the great concepts of Ashura and the movement of Karbala, introduces the following subjects for entries:
• Human dignity and human worth
• Nobility and chivalry even in dealing with the enemies
• Confronting oppression

• Altruism and selflessness
