Director Biography - Alexandra Lier

Alexandra Lier is a German artist. She studied at the Frankfurt Academy of Visual Arts. Lier's work are dramatic and cinematic. Her work is about the human being. Strong women, passion, age, underground and drive. "It is important to me that my images and films inspire and are life-affirming."

Born in Frankfurt, she studied film & photography. Upon graduation, Lier worked as a award winning creative for major advertising agencies. After winning more than 40 advertising awards, she pursued her interest in arts. Over the last decade,
Lier built a substantial reputation in fine art photography & film. Her works including "Speedseekers" (Fine Art Book by Gingko Press, 2009), "The World´s Fastest Place" (Fine Art Book and Shortfilm by Kehrer Verlag, 2014), "The Worlds Fastest" (feature-length documentary) and "Mutant Vehicles" (Fine Art Book and Shortfilm by Speedseekers Productions, 2021).
Her work has been featured in many online and print magazines, blogs, Newspapers. She is represented by collectors room and had art exhibitions at Scope Basel, Bloom Cologne and Gallerys.

As a teenager she was a singer and bass player of a girls punk rock group called Twiggy Killers that hit the German and European scene. She loves surfing, to ride motorcycle and drive her 1967 Plymouth Barracuda.
